Our roving Nordic Music Correspondent, Carmel McNamara, makes a welcome return this week with three excellent tips from Iceland, Denmark and Sweden. There's some great new music being created in that part of the world at the moment, and it's a pleasure to include Carmel's monthly selections in the programme. My featured album comes courtesy of Brighton's environmentally sound eccentrics, British Sea Power. 'Machineries of Joy' is another stunning collection of warm, experimental flights of melody and oddness and my three selections may highlight a gentler side of their nature. They're on tour at the moment and I'm looking forward to seeing them in Leeds next week.
